Lake Okareka house wins Regional Architecture Award | VOID
We’re proud to share that the Lake Okareka House (also known as the R + B House) has been recognised with a Regional Architecture Award. As a brand-new home, this project represents an important milestone for VOID and reflects our commitment to thoughtful, site-responsive residential architecture.
Set within the unique landscape of Lake Okareka, the house is shaped by its environment—responding carefully to topography, views, light, and the changing conditions of the lakeside setting. The design prioritises calm, spatial clarity, and a strong connection between interior living spaces and the surrounding landscape, creating a home that feels grounded in place while offering a sense of retreat.
This award acknowledges the collaborative effort behind the project, including our clients, consultants, and builders, whose shared commitment to quality made the outcome possible.
